We are a mobile company – bookings must be made in advance by phone or online. After booking, all the information on where to meet, what to bring, etc will be sent via email.
Refund policy: Full refund with 48 hours notice for cancelation OR rescheduling. We are a small company and book up quickly. When bookings are made, we close those lesson times for others. Please respect our cancelation or rescheduling policy – it is very difficult to refill a spot with less than 48 hours notice. We are more than happy to refund or reschedule with 48 hours notice.
For surfing lessons, you must be five (5) years or older. Children under the age of 13 are required to take private, one-on-one lessons. There are no age restrictions for canoe rides. All ages are welcome.
We still go surfing in the rain- because we will be getting wet anyway. We do not go out in unsafe conditions. Unsafe conditions are determined by Gone Surfing Hawaii and is 100% refundable.

Yes! If you would like a photographer, please request one in advance. We do not send a photographer our with every lesson, but are more than happy to schedule one upon request. Photo option is not included in the lesson price. You will be charged for photos after delivery of images.
It’s not often that people feel sea sick during our lessons. If you do think you might get sick, and you normally take a non sea sick pill/ remedy, please make sure that it is a non drowsy medicine/remedy.
The temperature is roughly around 74 degrees during most of the year — a couple degrees colder in the winter.
Yes, you will all be surfing together. However, for safety reasons, we require children under the age of 13 to be reserved for private lessons. Other family members may be booked as a semi-private lesson, but all will be surfing in the same area.
Wear your swimsuit and bring a towel and sunscreen. Make sure to put sunscreen on the back of your legs and face; your arms will be protected by the rash guard.

Yes. While surfing, you will be attached to the surfboard by a leash, but you need to be an ‘ok’ swimmer.
Absolutely! We’ve taken people of all ages and ability levels out surfing.

Try flipping it upside down when roasting. Most of the fat is in its back, and will essentially self baste. Flip the bird for the last 20 min.

Yes. For those unable to surf with the lesson times given, we offer sunset surfing lessons. Sunset surfing prices differ from regular lesson times. Earlier surf times may be available upon request at an additional cost.

To find us, please refer to the meeting location given in the confirmation email. We are not permitted by the State of Hawaii to post signs/ flags/ banners on the beach. If everyone did this- it would take away from the natural beauty of our island – we completely agree and comply with this policy.

Most lessons will be held at “Pops” in Waikiki. It is a long rolling break, perfect for beginners and away from the crowds. Depending on your hotel, we will set up a meeting place easiest for you.
